Performance Sailing – The Final Stage
For the serious sailor interested in polishing their skills and learning to compete, this course covers everything needed in preparation for sailing at a high school level. We are offering two versions of the Performance Sailing camp, both with the focus on techniques used in sailboat racing and performance boat handing. In Performance Laser Sailing students will sail single-handed Lasers and gain insight into theory and technique to prepare them for any sailing that lies ahead. Students in Performance Capri Sailing will follow a similar curriculum while double handing Capris. Students will work towards earning their certification through US Sailing.
You’ll learn the following skills:
- • One design racing
- • Advanced Right of Way Rules
- • Helmsmanship, Heel Priority
- • The Starting Sequence
- • Sailing a Course
- • Strategies & Tactics
